Medicaid
Children with a medical diagnosis of Autism can qualify for medicaid through waiver programs. This can help children qualify regardless of household income.

Diapers through Medicaid:
Your child may be eligible for free or discounted incontinence supplies through medicaid
You may need a letter of necessity from your child’s medical provider

Disability Parking Placard
These can be helpful for students who may elope and/or have safety concerns especially when in a busy parking lot
Talk to your child’s primary care provider about getting a Parking Placard. You will need them to fill out the medical certification portion of the form.

This is a FREE toolkit from the National Autism Association for families of autistic children. It is specifically for the prevention of wandering and wandering-related emergencies. It includes wandering prevention tools, educational materials, and first-responder information.

This pass Grants U.S. citizens or residents of any age with a permanent disability free, lifetime entry to over 2,000 federal recreation sites, including National Parks. It also covers up to 3 adult passengers in a private vehicle and the pass owner +3 adults where per-person fees are charged (children under 16 are always admitted free)
