Building an inclusive community together
We’re bringing local families with children receiving special ed services together so we can support each other, create inclusive opportunities, and foster a sense of belonging for every child.
We’d like this to become a network of families with similar experiences, and also a path toward more visibility and inclusion in our home district.

Our goals
Create a supportive community with occasional events for caregivers and families

Build a member directory with family contact information and student’s name, grade level, and school they attend (sharing information is optional and the directory will only be available to other members of the group)

Collaborate with PTAs in our district’s home schools to make events and programs more inclusive for all students
•
Provide parent resources and offer presentations from experts on subjects relevant to our families
•
Communicate with D96 board members and administrators to increase awareness of the needs of diverse learners and their families
